Performance Troupe
Jazz, Classical, Song & Dance, Contemporary, Lyrical, Character & Broadway
Our performance troupe classes encourages confidence, commitment and teamwork. Students in these classes learn a number of different dances in all styles of dance - Jazz, Classical, Character, Contemporary, Singing and Theatrical. The school performs these dances in competitions throughout the year, as well as at the end of year concert.
Pre-requisites
Students wanting to be in these Performance Troupe classes must also attend a technique class from Under 9 troupe and above. In technique classes, we concentrate on technique, strength, flexibility and other skills that will be used in Performance Troupes.
From Under 11 troupe and above, a technique class and at least one classical class each week is required.
These classes are necessary as they form the basic technique, which are taught in the troupe routines. Students wishing to be in the performance troupe should be committed as well as having a good team ethic. (extra lessons may be required before performances, but plenty of notice will be given for these)
Tap Performance Troupe Classes
Students in these classes learn dances, which involve tapping (Tap and Song & Tap). The school performs these dances in competitions throughout the year, as well as at the end of year concert.
Students can do this in addition to the General troupe class, or may just participate in the troupe class alone.
Pre-requisites
Students wanting to be in these competition classes must attend at least one tap technique class each week from Under 11 age group and up.
