Classical Ballet
Classical ballet at Accent on Dance fosters discipline and focus while nurturing the excitement of dance. As the foundation for all dance styles, we teach the Borovansky method and the Australian Teachers of Dancing syllabus. Students may participate in exams or take classes to improve technique, posture, and confidence.
Tap
Tap dance combines rhythmic footwork with sharp timing to create movement and sound. At Accent on Dance, our tap classes cater to all levels, focusing on technique, clarity, and rhythm. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, tap dance offers a fun and dynamic experience for everyone.
Acrobatics

Musical Theatre Jazz

Hip Hop
Hip hop dance is a dynamic and energetic style characterized by its rhythmic, improvisational movements. It includes techniques such as popping, locking, and breaking, all of which encourage self-expression and creativity. Hip hop dance is known for its powerful, fluid movements and intricate footwork, making it a vibrant and exhilarating art form. Aerial
Aerial is a captivating and athletic form of movement that combines the beauty of dance with the strength and grace of aerial acrobatics. Using apparatus such as silks and hoops, dancers perform fluid sequences while suspended in the air, showcasing a unique blend of strength, flexibility, and artistry. Aerial challenges the body in new ways, building core strength and enhancing overall coordination. This art form is not only a physical workout but also an inspiring way to explore creative expression from a whole new perspective, offering an exhilarating experience that pushes the boundaries of traditional dance.
Triple Threat Program
Accent on Dance’s Triple Threat Program (TTP) empowers students to develop the three essential skills of Musical Theatre: singing, dancing, and acting.
This dynamic 2.5-hour class, held on Friday nights, focuses on nurturing creativity and hands-on exploration. With three specialized teachers, each TTP session is split into 45-minute classes dedicated to each skill, helping students to: Learn it! Practice it! Explore it! and Perform it! throughout the year.
Under the guidance of our expert team—Singing with Tiffany Gaze, Acting with Tim Mackie, and Dancing with Jade Elsdon—students gain foundational skills in each discipline and apply them in a variety of creative ways. Each term has a specific focus:

Term 1: LEARN IT! – Understanding fundamentals in singing projection, dance timing, and stagecraft.

Term 2: PRACTICE IT! – Applying fundamentals through repertoire, new choreography, and scene blocking.

Term 3: EXPLORE IT! – Developing creativity through collaborative improvisation and creation.

Term 4: PERFORM IT! – Showcasing skills at a Cabaret Performance, featuring group and solo numbers.

Competition Teams
Our elite Competition Teams offer dedicated dancers the chance to push their limits and shine on prestigious stages. Through rigorous training and a focus on teamwork, our dancers develop their technique and confidence, performing at various competitive events.
